Canal du Midi Disaster

We’ve been trying to get back to this canal for years and to walk it’s banks, one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. I guess it’s this year or never.

French to say au revoir to canalside trees

Thousands of plane trees along the banks of the Canal du Midi, a Unesco heritage site, will have to be cut down because of a deadly fungus.
